Red Wing freshman Tanner Alms told assistant coach Sue Forsberg that he planned to take his new good luck charm to college. After the state meet Alms had, no one would blame him. Alms set the Class A state meet record in the 500-yard freestyle Saturday with a winning time of 4 minutes, 39.02 seconds.
