After a slow start to Tuesday’s Division 5 regional game, the host Eagles created separation in the middle quarters by outscoring the Pirates 16-10 in the second and 21-14 in the third.
“In the second quarter we got a little bit more aggressive offensively, started attacking gaps a little bit more against their matchup zone,” P-A coach Larry Grisen said. “That carried over into the third quarter.
P-A’s Ali Murray scored a team-high 24 points. She was the only Eagles player to finish in double figures.
P-A (16-5) advanced to play No. 3 McDonell Central in Friday’s regional semifinals. The game will be played in Alma.
McDonell Central defeated No. 6 Gilmanton 60-30 Tuesday.
