Boys hockey: No. 5 Wingers to face No. 12 Mankato East on Tuesday

Red Wing received the No. 5 seed in the Section 1A tournament and will play host to No. 12 Mankato East (2-23) in opening-round action at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
If the Wingers (8-17) win, they would play No. 4 Mankato West at 7 p.m. Thursday at All Seasons Arena in Mankato, Minn.
Rochester Lourdes earned the top seed in the section it was announced Sunday. Albert Lea and New Prague are the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds, respectively. The top four seeds received first-round byes.
