Red Wing Area Seniors
The Red Wing Area Senior Center is located in the Fairview Red Wing Professional Building and Community Center. All events listed are held at the Senior Center unless otherwise noted. Phone number is 651-267-3599.
Join Active Older Adults group
The Active Older Adults group meets at 9 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday on the fourth floor of the Senior Center.
The class includes low-impact aerobics, strength training and stretching. Cost is $30 for 20 sessions for people who are not members of the YMCA.
Euchre fun
Join in the Euchre fun every Monday at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Come join the
Silver Tones
The Red Wing Senior Center choir, the Silver Tones, practices every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church. The director is Coleen Fowler and accompanist is Cheryl Hemphill.
Book Club for Women will meet
Jane Whiteside will facilitate when the Book Club for Women meets at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4. The current selection is “Cleopatra: A Life,” by Stacy Schiff.
Wii and Wii Fit available
Nintendo Wii is available every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. Using a remote and watching a TV screen, people can simulate playing tennis, bowling, golf or baseball.
Jordan Towers
Jordan Towers are located are located in the 400 block of West Fifth Street in downtown Red Wing. All events listed are held at Jordan Tower I or II unless otherwise noted.
Games available
Here’s the schedule of games to be played in the Jordan Tower II bingo area:
Bingo - 1 p.m. Mondays and Saturdays, 7 p.m. Thursdays. Nickels - 6 p.m. Tuesdays. Polish poker - 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Euchre - 7 p.m. Fridays.
Movies planned in the Sailstad Room
Movies are shown in the Sailstad Room at 4 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. Movies are free, but you need to provide your own treats.
Join the weekday exercise class
Exercise class takes place at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday in the Sailstad Room. Everyone is encouraged to only do the exercises that they feel comfortable doing.
