Three Rivers Community Action has received a $45,000 grant from the Housing Assistance Council's Thrive Fund Capacity Building Grant Initiative. Three Rivers will use the funds to launch a comprehensive communication and outreach initiative, provide staff new training opportunities and grow its housing research and program development.
"Housing needs are constantly changing. Thrive Funds will allow us to continue to work in partnership with the local community to address the housing needs in innovative ways," said Mike Thorsteinson, who is the executive director of the Zumbrota-based nonprofit.
Three Rivers Community Action is one of 22 rural housing development organizations across the nation receiving grants.
