School Board will meet today as superintendent search continues

Red Wing School Board took the next steps in selecting a new superintendent Tuesday night.

The full board met with search consultant Ken La Croix to determine which questions will be asked of candidates during the first round of interviews.

Those interviews will take place Feb. 1, 2 and 3.

The district received 34 applications for the position that will be vacated by Stan Slessor at the end of the school year.

The application deadline was Jan. 14. The School Board's personnel subcommittee will meet today to narrow down those applicants to about half a dozen

The board will formally approve those finalists in a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the high school.
