Arts Alive coaching sessions will be Thursday after school.

Dibels

Second- and third-graders will do Dibels Testing Friday.

PAC

The Parent Advisory Council will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday Burnside School.

Grade 2

John Ostby’s second-grade students will find out what happens to Martine Allen in “The White Giraffe,” schoolwide reading choice. The students are investigating “Air and Weather” in science. Word problems have been their focus in math.

Grade 4

Fourth-graders are reading “The White Giraffe” as part of our school-wide read. Fourth-graders will be actively looking for similes and metaphors as they reach this adventure set in South Africa. They will create simile and metaphor cubes and posters from each of the eight classrooms to display at Burnside.
