Corey Tauer announced Tuesday that he will be retiring as player/manager of the Red Wing Aces after 20 seasons with the club.
“In my mind he’s in the top handful of players that have ever played for the Aces,” Red Wing Amateur Baseball Association President and Aces bench coach Dan Plein said.
Tauer, who is second all-time in hits, began his playing career with the Aces in 1991 and has managed the team since 2003.
