Kindergartners worked with the pan balance. They compared wooden blocks to cotton balls and learned about heavier and lighter.

Busy Bees in Alice Danell’s first- and second-grade classroom are Sadie Blanchette, Kailyn Peterson and Sally Stenerson.
Grades 3, 4, 6
Students did a brief study of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights. They are studying roots, stems, and leaves in science classes.
In Principal Benjamin Bain’s upper grade classroom, students practiced a rule for converting decimals to percents and percents to decimals. These students also divided to find decimal equivalents of fractions. Transition math studied a story about chairs in a classroom, and found the solution. Students then made If-Then statements to prove the solution was correct.
