"Food for Thought," a community potluck event, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Widespot Performing Arts Center and Community Project in downtown Stockholm.

Featured speaker will be Ron Hunt, a Lake City artist and writer.

People are invited even without a dish to share, sponsors said. Suggested donation for the meal is $5.

Hunt will talk about his 50-plus years in art and theater. Self-taught, he was born in a boxcar north of Estherville, Iowa, in 1934, and grew up on a hardscrabble farm in Dodge County, Minn. He works in oil, watercolor, pen and ink and pastel.

Widespot is on the second floor of N2030 Spring St. Call 715-307-8941 or go online to www.widespotperformingarts.org.
