Rural Goodhue man killed in auto crash
A rural Goodhue man was killed Saturday after the vehicle he was in crashed and overturned in Vasa Township.
A rural Goodhue man was killed Saturday after the vehicle he was in crashed and overturned in Vasa Township.
Goodhue County sheriff’s deputies said the victim, Cesar Dumer-Zazveta, 34, was southbound on County Road 7 at 2:26 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving left the road.
Deputies said the vehicle rolled at least twice and ejected Dumer-Zazveta, who was not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle came to rest on top of the victim, pinning him.
Dumer-Zazveta was pronounced dead on the scene.
It was unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash. Firefighters from Red Wing and Miesville responded.
