Hughes qualifies for state meet

Red Wing resident Mackenzie Hughes scored a 32.925 in the all-around competition at the Minnesota USA Gymnastics first state qualifier and earned the opportunity to compete at the state meet in December.

Hughes, 12, competed with three of her Hastings Gymnastics Center Level 6 girls teammates at the state qualifier, which was held Oct. 2.
