Try the Y
During the week of Nov. 8-13, everyone in the community is invited to tour the Y to see the improvements made during its major renovation. Those who come will receive a coupon good for a two-week membership. Tours are available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ditch the workout — join the party. On Nov. 13, the YMCA will hold a zumba bash for everyone in the community.
The free event will run 9:15 to 11:30 a.m.
Parents, enjoy a dinner on your own while staff play with your kids. Kids’ Night In/Parents’ Night Out will be 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday and is open to children ages 6 months to 10 years. Registration and payment are required.
Family Fun Night
Family Fun Night will be 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and is open to all families in the community.
Play in the gym, climb the wall, swim and slide in the recreation pool. The cost is $10 per family, free for Y members.
The sports for November will be volleyball on Tuesdays and badminton on Thursdays. After-school sports program is open to all fifth-, sixth- and seventh-grade students and runs from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Transportation from Twin Bluff is available. Registration and payment are required. The cost per sport is $20 per student, free for YMCA members.
The next School’s Out Fun Day will be Nov. 12. It is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through grade 5. Registration and payment are required. The cost is $40 per child, $30 for YMCA members.
Anyone interested in playing pickleball may come to the Y at 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Pickleball is played in Gym C and is great exercise and fun.
