Game recap: The top-seeded Blue Devils were tied with unseeded Lincoln after two quarters of play Tuesday in the Division 7 playoffs, but Plum City scored 20 second-half points and kept Lincoln off the board.

"I thought this was the first time all year we came out flat," Plum City coach Troy Ingli said of his 10-0 club. "We did not adjust very well to the conditions and struggled in the first half mightily."

Ingli said that the wind at Ellsworth was "absolutely amazing."

Difference maker: Plum City tightened up its play after the halftime break.

"We were playing like 11 individuals in the fist half," Ingli said. "In the second we played as a team."

Top players: Gabe Rodriguez score two touchdowns -- a 9-yard scamper in the first quarter and a 27-yard run the fourth. He finished with 52 yards on nine carries. Ryan Gillman led Plum City in rushing yards with 60; he scored a touchdown from seven yards out in the third quarter. Tyler Churchill caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Alex Gilles for the final score of the game.
