Letter: Meinke sees potential for city

To the Editor:

Marilyn Meinke will be an excellent addition to our City Council, adding intellect, and some straightforward thinking to addressing our city’s challenges in the years ahead. Her background and experience in collecting facts and finding solid solutions is exactly what is needed for today’s complex political environment

She believes in the great potential for growth and success that Red Wing holds and is willing to work hard to see that all citizens benefit from future decisions. Building partnerships for an improved and effective economic development process is a priority. She knows the value of job creation and will not settle for mere lip service to make that happen.

Marilyn is experienced in gathering input, finding a realistic priority of issues, expressing her views, and applying action that is most effective for good governance. Our City Council is in need of some new thinking and creative approaches to building a stronger Red Wing during these tough times. Outdated thinking with quick and easy answers doesn’t work any more.
