Letter: Sachen made difference

To the Editor:

John Sachen will make a positive addition to the Red Wing City Council. I grew up with John, attended school and played football alongside him from middle school through college and now we work for the same company. We have raised our families, shared holidays and worshiped together. Suffice to say, Crystal and I know John well.

Last spring his commentary to the R-E regarding a neighborhood issue showed us a new side of John. We read his articulate column and listened as he appeared before the council. He was there as a concerned citizen, exercising his rights.

We saw that one person, supported by his community, could stand up and make a difference.

John possesses integrity, leadership skills and he actively listens. In our friendship John consistently acts in a responsible manner and displays a strong content of character. He maintains a positive attitude and is dedicated and committed to this community. He is a willing servant and is prepared to help shape Red Wing’s future for the better.

His successful business career combined with his commons-sense approach to solving problems will ensure well-founded decisions are made to better our community. Help make a difference, cast your vote for John Sachen.
