To the Editor:

Oct. 21 the PUC decides whether to turn Goodhue County into pinball machine for industrial wind turbines. If the wind developers are given the go ahead, Goodhue County could see 50 now or 350 or more in the future as it would be difficult to turn down the next developers. Few areas would be off limits.

Have you ever seen 400 flashing red lights in your night sky? You can’t see the stars; that will be us along with more CAPX-type power lines to carry that power to some other state.

The outcome has not been determined as I write this letter, but my endorsement for the next sheriff is firm. Marty Kelly is best man for the job. He will be new blood in the Sheriff’s department and exercise good investigative skills. Also, he will enforce the law without the stigma of having signed a wind contract. The choice is clear and up to you.
