Mazeppa dinner moved to Legion
The location of the Mazeppa Area Historical Society fundraising dinner on Saturday has been changed to the Mazeppa American Legion Hall.
The location of the Mazeppa Area Historical Society fundraising dinner on Saturday has been changed to the Mazeppa American Legion Hall, across the street from the Community Center. The center is being used by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to assist flood victims, organizers explained.
The scalloped potatoes and ham dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Purpose is to raise money for a history center in Mazeppa. The group has acquired old newspapers from the 1880s to 1909, plus memorabilia, photographs, genealogy albums and platbooks of Wabasha and Goodhue counties. Supporters will be selling the inaugural Mazeppa Area Historical Society button.
