Widespot celebrates inaugural year

A one-year anniversary celebration is being planned for Oct. 16 at the Widespot Performing Arts and Community Center in downtown Stockholm.

The program, which will start at 7:30 p.m., will include an eclectic assortment of entertainment.

“Our audience and our guest artists have been instrumental in our success of the past year and are the key to our future,” Widespot Director Kelli Tatum said. “We look forward to this special show as we look ahead to what’s to come.”

Among performers will be Pizpor, a comedian and magician; Khary Jackson, a member of the 2010 National Poetry Slam championship team; Gina Citoli, creator and star of “A Cabaret of Consciousness”; Phillip Andrew Bennett Low, billed as a “rock star storyteller,” and the Ditchlilies.

Widespot is located on the second story of N2030 Spring St.
