Cowboy comic heads to casino

Rodney Carrington, a comedian, actor and writer, brings his antics to Treasure Island Resort & Casino at 8 p.m. Oct. 16 for an evening of music, performance and comedy in the Island Event Center.

Carrington’s career achievements include eight major comedy albums, a hit TV show and a movie, “Beer for My Horses,” which recently won the Tex Ritter award from the Academy of Country Music. His comedy albums are continually huge sellers, including two platinum records, Treasure Island spokesmen said.

“Carrington’s popularity derives, in large part, from his connection with his audience and his uncanny ability to make people laugh about all of life’s experiences,” according to a press release.

Tickets are $35 and $45 at the Island box office, by calling 1-877-849-1640 or online at www.ticasino.com. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

This performance will contain adult content; attendees must be 18 or older.
