ELC will celebrate 40 years
The Red Wing Environmental Learning Center will celebrate 40 years of outdoor adventure and learning with a day full of activities Oct. 2, culminating in a dinner and program for alumni, parents and the community on the Anderson Center lower lawn.
The Red Wing Environmental Learning Center will celebrate 40 years of outdoor adventure and learning with a day full of activities Oct. 2, culminating in a dinner and program for alumni, parents and the community on the Anderson Center lower lawn.
The schedule is: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - rock climbing on Barn Bluff, canoeing on the Cannon River, kayaking at Colvill Park, biking on the Cannon Valley Trail, constructing fishing rods at the ELC office at Tower View, hiking on Barn Bluff; 5 to 7 p.m. - wild foods potluck dinner and hog roast; 7 to 9 p.m. - anniversary celebration with stories, music and slides.
