Sogn Valley offers crafts, food, music

More than two dozen artists plus six agricultural producers will participate in the Sogn Valley Craft Fair Oct. 2 and 3 at the Makarios Farm and Pottery in rural Cannon Falls.

More than two dozen artists plus six agricultural producers will participate in the Sogn Valley Craft Fair Oct. 2 and 3 at the Makarios Farm and Pottery in rural Cannon Falls.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 2 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3.

A wide variety of fine crafts and arts will be featured, including pottery and ceramic sculptures, baskets, weavings and fabric arts, jewelry and wearable art, photographs and paintings, prints and cards, glass, woodcrafts and garden sculptures.

Food vendors will include Cannon River Winery, Mill Street Tavern, the DuBar Dolls fundraising group and the Strudelhaus.

Live music also is planned. On Oct. 2, Tony Newes and Friends will entertain, and on Oct. 3 strolling folk musicians Ken and Paul will wander the grounds.
