Letter: McNurlin will make county proud

To the Editor:

We have known Scott McNurlin for over 23 years and have had the distinct pleasure of knowing him both on a personal level as well as a professional level. He has an unending drive to improve his community by way of his volunteerism through his involvement on various boards of directors including the Family Service Collaborative of Goodhue County, the YMCA and the Chemical Health Initiative. He is also the president-elect of the Red Wing Rotary and vice president of the Urland Church Council.

His 27 years with the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office has shown him to be a fair and consistent deputy who has strived to make the department better as he worked his way up the ranks to his current position as chief deputy. Scott has the education, experience, fiscal responsibility, leadership abilities and civic pride, which will make him an outstanding sheriff for Goodhue County that we all can be proud of.
