Firefighters extinguished a Bush Street house fire early Saturday morning.
The Red Wing fire department was called at 12:47 a.m. to 1317 Bush St. for a structure fire. The fire, which began in the family room, was extinguished in about eight minutes, firefighters said.
There were no injuries. The home occupants, Mike and Lona Bignell, were away at the time of the fire.
A neighbor had noticed smoke and fire coming through a main floor window and called 911.
Firefighters were on scene for about two hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
