Letter; Kelly serves us, the customers

To the Editor:

The people of Goodhue County have an opportunity to make a difference on Nov. 2. Look at the sheriff’s race and realize that we have a chance to vote for change.

Mediocrity is not acceptable. The sheriff’s department provides a service to everyone in Goodhue County. The majority of the people within the county have no idea what the department does unless they have had a run in with the law or have needed assistance.

Like all businesses, it is important to realize that you are servicing a customer. We are that customer. When you are not challenged to do better, the status quo becomes acceptable.

Marty Kelly will push to change that. Status quo is not good enough. He believes the sheriff and all the employees need to connect with the people within the county. Kelly stands for change and is committed to connecting with the people of this county.

Let’s not settle for status quo when we have an opportunity to make a difference. On Nov. 2, vote for Marty Kelly.
