To the Editor:
We are fortunate to have two nice guys running a positive campaign for sheriff of Goodhue County.
In this age of rampant crime and drug use, we need someone who has the expertise, experience and knowledge to guide us. Scott McNurlin graduated from the FBI Academy and was a pioneer in the formation of the Goodhue County SWAT Team.
He knows the department well, having worked his way from dispatcher to chief deputy, serving a total of 27 years in the department.
Awarded the 2010 Goodhue County Editorial Association “Citizen of the Year” and 2009 American Legion Region 3 “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year” speaks for itself!
Running a sheriff’s department of approximately 115 full-time employees and administering an approximate $9.2 million budget is a HUGE responsibility.
Looking at the experience and education background of Scott McNurlin, I endorse him as candidate for Sheriff of Goodhue County.
