Letter: Kelly knows value of ‘customer service’

To the Editor:

I am endorsing Marty Kelly for sheriff.

I cannot think of a person more qualified for this position.

The person in charge of our sheriff’s office needs to be someone who can walk the line of being visible, approachable, accountable, trustworthy, competent, talented and energetic. We need a sheriff who is going to be pro-active in his approach and who has had the hands on experience we all desire in a leader.

He will not need to be told what is going on in the county, because he will be there as he has always been.

He will also know what his deputies are going through because he has been there. He will not ask his deputies to do something he wouldn’t do himself or has not done already. That makes a great leader.

Kelly is excited about the job and willing to help out wherever needed. A sheriff you will actually see out in the community continuing to develop relationships as he has done for the last 21 years. He believes customer service is the key to success.

This is an opportunity for all of us in the community to elect a great sheriff, let’s not miss it!
