Update: Authorities stopped would be jumper

Local authorities say they were able to safely apprehend a Prescott man from jumping off the High Bridge late Wednesday.

Local authorities say they were able to safely apprehend a Prescott man from jumping off the High Bridge late Wednesday.

The man was committed to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis., according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities regulated traffic on the High Bridge during the incident, following reports the man had threatened to jump off the structure.
