Chicago Gargoyle Brass will perform on Aug. 6
The Chicago Gargoyle Brass will perform from 8 to 9 p.m. Aug. 6 at First United Methodist Church.
The Chicago Gargoyle Brass will perform from 8 to 9 p.m. Aug. 6 at First United Methodist Church. The group began in 1992 as a chamber group of faculty and students at the University of Chicago, and is now in residence at the Union Church of Hinsdale.
The band took its name from the campus architecture, which features a variety of gargoyles. Members are classically trained professionals, playing in orchestras, jazz bands, and musical theaters around Chicago.
