Soccer team in state title game

Lucian Dieterman scored three goals in two games to help the Red Wing U17 Classic 3 boys soccer team reach the state tournament championship game.

Red Wing will play either Chisago Lakes or Mankato at 5 p.m. today in Coon Rapids, Minn., for the state title.

Dieterman scored both goals in Red Wing’s 2-1 victory Sunday over New Richmond. Red Wing beat Willmar 2-0 Monday. Jack Monchamp also scored against Willmar.
