No serious injuries in Highway 63 crash

A flipped compact car can be seen on the left of a crash scene Tuesday afternoon on Highway 63 north of the Eisenhower Bridge. Police suspected the overturned car struck the minivan before rolling down the ditch.
One person was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near the Eisenhower Bridget that snarled traffic coming out of Red Wing.
Red Wing police said no one was seriously injured in the crash, which occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Highway 63 in Hager City.
A compact car was spotted overturned in a ditch. Police suspected the car had first struck an oncoming van that sustained major damage to its front end.
A male was spotted being taken into custody by authorities. Early indications were that the crash occurred after a brief chase on the Minnesota side of the bridge.
