Letter: Public safety is among Hove’s priorities

To the Editor:

Dean Hove has proven that he understands that families are what is really important.

We need to keep professional public safety to protect our kids, grandkids, and our senior citizens.

Here in Wards 1 and 2, only Hove has stated that he will keep public safety intact.

I spent my entire career as a Red Wing firefighter. I have seen first hand what happens when we have elected leaders who are soft on public safety.

For a while, going to a volunteer fire department was a popular choice among council members out of touch with the needs of a regional center with a nuclear power plant to protect. Hove understands the importance of public safety in our overall quality of life.

I encourage everyone concerned about keeping Red Wing a safe place to live to vote for Dean Hove in the primary election Aug 10.
