Letter: McNurlin is best qualified to be sheriff

To the Editor:

I would like to urge the voters of Goodhue County to compare qualifications of the candidates for sheriff. I endorse Chief Deputy Scott McNurlin.

Scott has worked as the second in command of the Sheriff’s Office for 12 years. He is a 27-year employee and has complete knowledge of the department. He has worked every facet of the department.

As a newly elected sheriff, McNurlin would be able to step right in with little or no training.

The sheriff’s position is an administrative position. McNurlin is the only candidate with administrative experience.

Scott is also the only candidate who is employed by the Sheriff’s Office
