Game recap: Every Bombers starter collected a hit as Bay City won on the road. The Bombers finished with 18 hits.

Hastings had the tying run at the plate in the ninth, but the Hawks only pushed across one run in the inning.

Difference maker: Cole Kuesel pitched the entire game for the Bombers and turned in a solid outing despite four Bay City errors.

He registered five strikeouts, two walks, two hit batters and five hits.

“He pitched pretty well,” Bombers manager Monte Strain said. “That was good for him because he didn’t (do) well in relief against Ellsworth (on July 9).”

Top players: Shane Strain went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI to lead the Bay City attack. Teammates Hayden Flack and Steve Bowe each went 3-for-5. Bowe also drove in a pair and stole two bases.
