3 teens injured in Highway 52 crash

Three Goodhue County teenagers were injured Tuesday when the vehicle they were in pulled out into Highway 52 traffic and collided with another pickup truck.

Three Goodhue County teenagers were injured Tuesday when the vehicle they were in pulled out into Highway 52 traffic and collided with another pickup truck.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Brandon Luhmann, 16, drove a 1996 Mercedes C36 into the highway at 1:31 p.m. when it collided with a pickup driven by William Timm, 71, Winona.

Both drivers received minor injuries in the crash and were transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, according to the State Patrol. Two passengers in Luhmann’s vehicle, Daniel Grapper, 16, Zumbrota, and Bryce Sommers, 16, Zumbrota also sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized, troopers said.

A spokeswoman for St. Marys said all four were no longer patients.

Every person was wearing his seat belt. Troopers did not say if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
