Game recap: The visiting Pirates scored 10 runs (seven earned) off losing pitcher Wyatt Rowe over the first three innings.
The Skeeters also had a solid night at the plate Wednesday. They scored three in the second and four in the sixth.
"We got down early, but we fought back," Hager City player/manager Cory Brathall said. "We actually had it within three runs in the sixth. We kept fighting the whole game."
Difference maker: After Hager City closed within 12-9 in the sixth, Prescott scored four runs in the top of the seventh to pull away.
Top players: Ross Sweig and Taylor Johnson both went 2-for-3 for the Skeeters. Johnson drove in three and Sweig finished with two RBI.
