Do your kids like movies, but you wonder if the latest flick is appropriate or worth seeing?

Seth may be able to help you. He’s 11-year-old movie buff who recently launched a blog on the Red Wing Republican Eagle website.

You can find “Seth’s Movie Reviews” on our home page under Area Voices.

He approached the R-E in June — with help from his mom — about sharing his insight on children’s flicks. Because he is a minor, we aren’t using his surname. Here is a sample of what he has to say:

“‘The A Team’ is a great movie for kids 10+. ... My letter grade on the A team would be a B+.”

“The toys ARE BACK and better than ever in this funny movie that will make the kids laugh and the moms cry. (My mom did!)” he wrote of “Toy Story III.”

“‘Prince of Persia’ is a very suspenseful movie. There are some parts in the movie that will scare the younger ones so be aware of that.”

In the first week, people viewed his blog 113 times.

We invite you to check out his postings at http://www.areavoices.com/sethreviews/ or click on his link at www.republican-eagle.com.

The Republican Eagle plans to unveil several changes or additions to the website later this summer. This doesn’t mean we will neglect our paid subscribers. Stay tuned for more.
