Red Wing City Council unanimously approved on Tuesday the final recommendations a mayoral panel made for the city’s future economic development.
Mayor John Howe’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Economic Development finalized a report on how the city should best proceed in retaining and attracting businesses earlier this month and presented its findings to the council during a special meeting Tuesday.
“This is the kind of thing we’ve been wanting and waiting for,” Council member Lisa Bayley said of the report.
