A Red Wing man was seriously injured Saturday when he drove his motorcycle off the right side of U.S. Highway 53 in northern Minnesota. The Minnesota State Patrol reported Patrick J. Anderson, 44, was northbound on Highway 53 about 10 miles south of Eveleth when he drove his 2001 Harley Davidson off the road at 12:45 p.m.

Police said his injuries were not life-threatening. A hospital spokeswoman said he was no longer a patient on Monday.
