Game recap: Skeeters pitcher Wyatt Rowe had just one bad inning and it cost him: He allowed three hits and walked four batters in the four-run fourth.
He retired the side in order the other six innings Saturday in Hager City.
“He pitched a pretty good game,” Hager City player/manager Cory Brathall said. “It was good to see for him. He needed it for his confidence.”
Rowe finished with 10 strikeouts in a complete-game effort.
Difference maker: Hager City finished with two hits.
Top players: Henry Jaeger went 1-for-2 with two runs. Jared Murphy drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth.

Game recap: The Mudhens scored six runs in the fifth inning to sweep the doubleheader.
“We’re having a tough time avoiding that one big inning,” Brathall said. “That’s part of being young.”
Difference maker: Chad Melstrom hadn’t pitched in a couple years, but Brathall elected to bring him on as a reliever in the fifth. Brathall said he hoped he could eat some innings.
Melstrom faced five batters and didn’t record an out. He walked three and was tagged for four runs.
Top players: Ross Sweig and Cody Furlong each had two hits for Hager City. Melstrom and Tyler Regnier picked up an RBI apiece.
