Art show will complement ‘Cabaret of Consciousness’

WideSpot Performing Arts Center in Stockholm is issuing a call for art that reflects the themes of “A Cabaret of Consciousness.”

“We are looking for artists to submit work that envisions a world defined in the language of peace, of love, of awareness, of ecology,” said Alan Nugent of Abode Gallery in Stockholm.

The artist that is chosen will have his or her work featured in the WideSpot theater during a performance of Gina Citoli’s ‘A Cabaret of Consciousness,’ and will be given the opportunity to participate in a facilitated discussion of his or her work after the show.

The cabaret is a musical about life and about being green, featuring two songs produced by Barry Goldstein.

The cabaret will be performed at 2 p.m. July 25. The artwork will be displayed July 23-Aug. 6.
