1 injured in Back Channel Bridge crash
A Wisconsin teenager was injured Monday after the vehicle she was driving rearended another vehicle near the Back Channel Bridge in Hager City.
A Wisconsin teenager was injured Monday after the vehicle she was driving rearended another vehicle near the Back Channel Bridge in Hager City.
Cassandra L. Smith, 18, Barron, Wis., was transported to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center with what Pierce County sheriff’s deputies described as undetermined injuries.
According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Smith was northbound on Highway 63 when her vehicle rearended a vehicle stopped to turn onto 830th Street.
Impact of the crash sent that vehicle, driven by Anita Hoyer, 27, Hager City, into oncoming traffic, where it struck a vehicle driven by Marc D. Nelson, 39, Ellsworth.
Neither Hoyer nor Nelson were injured. Deputies said all drivers were wearing seat belts.
Ellsworth and Red Wing firefighters assisted at the scene.
