Update: Fatal crash closes Hastings bridge

A crash just north of the Hastings Highway 61 bridge claimed the life of one person Monday morning. The four-vehicle accident was reported at 6:20 a.m. near the King's Cove entrance.
In addition to the fatality, two people were injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol will not release the name of the individual who died until 8 a.m. Tuesday.
In the latest information released by the State Patrol, the drivers of the other vehicles have been identified as Anthony L. Mancheski, 19, Maplewood; Ka Lee, 47, Newport; and Jason Brommerich, 33, Hastings. Mancheski and Lee sustained minor injuries, Brommerich had no apparent injury.
The Mancheski and Lee vehicles were southbound on the roadway, when the Mancheski vehicle struck the Lee vehicle. Both vehicles lost control and crossed into the northbound lanes on Highway 61. The vehicles then struck the third vehicle (as yet unnamed) head-on and on the driver's door. The Mancheski vehicle continued skidding, hit the guard rail and struck the Brommerich vehicle.
