A medical examiner's report for a Red Wing woman whose death might have been caused by faulty ambulance equipment is pending.

The Dakota County Medical has not released its report for Janice Hall, who died April 22 while being transported to Minneapolis in a Red Wing Ambulance. Failure of an oxygen supply system on board the Red Wing ambulance may be to blame for her death.

The city has taken the ambulance out of service and is meeting with the manufacturer next week and is bringing in an outside expert to look at the equipment.

City official said they expect the medical examiner's report may come early next week.

The R-E will continue to provide details as they become available.
