Nathan Allen Stewart, 24, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 22, in Red Wing.

He was born Feb. 14, 1986, in Red Wing, the son of Claire and Helen (Quade) Stewart. He grew up and attended school in Goodhue, moving to Red Wing in 1995. He graduated from Red Wing High School in 2005 and attended the Southeast Technical College. He worked at Red Wing Shoe, Riedell and Eagle Intermodal.

He enjoyed working on computers, playing video games, watching scary movies and hanging out with his friends.

Survivors include his mother, Helen of Red Wing; siblings, David (Tammy) Stewart of Elk River and Jamie (Eric) Hamlin of Red Wing; his fiancée, Jordan Bautista of Moreno Valley, Calif.; grandparents, Chuck and Ellen Varnado of Red Wing and Sylvia Stewart of Alma, Wis.; best friend, John Zolondek of Red Wing; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claire Stewart; one brother, Mathew Stewart; and his grandfather, Galen Stewart.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at New River Assembly of God Church with Reverend Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim and Tom Varnado, Michael Feela, Steve Stewart, John Zolondek and Alex Ruppel. Honorary pallbearers will be David Stewart and Mathew Ruppel. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday, April 26, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
