PAC gives thumbs down on wind moratorium

Goodhue County Planning Advisory Commission on Monday recommended County Board vote down a proposal to place a one-year moratorium on wind farms.
The PAC also decided it would begin re-working the county’s wind energy ordinances in order to address concerns raised by residents.
The Board on May 4 will consider the moratorium proposal and other proposed regulations for wind farms requested by rural Goodhue landowners Steve Groth and Paul Reese.
