Pierce County authorities arrested three men Thursday who allegedly passed counterfeit $100 bills at the Woodshed Bar.
Martieze Marshall, 21, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Ryan Chambers, 21, St. Paul, and Michael Comer, 21, St. Paul were all arrested for passing counterfeit bills.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff's office the men passed five phony $100 bills between 8 p.m. and 10:19 p.m. Thursday at the Woodshed.
An employee became suspicious and determined the bills were fake. Employees confronted the men, who denied knowing they were counterfeit, according to a press release. Employees then called the authorities.
Investigators later discovered the bills all had the same serial number.
Around 11:20 p.m. on Highway 63 near the Woodshed, sheriff deputies pulled over a car the men were traveling and arrested them.
