Red Wing City Council on Monday approved spending $15,000 to retain the services of the law firm Madigan Dahl and Harlan, PA to help a lobbying effort at the state capitol.
Red Wing's lobbying effort aims to support legislation that addresses city official's concerns that nuclear waste might be stored permanently at the Prairie Island nuclear plant.
Some council members called the lobbying effort their top priority.
