West Sixth Street closed 8 a.m. to noon Friday

Red Wing Public Works has announced it will close West Sixth Street Friday from 8 a.m. to noon to allow for the removal of dead trees.

Red Wing Public Works has announced it will close West Sixth Street Friday from 8 a.m. to noon to allow for the removal of dead trees.

The affected area starts near the Red Wing Country Club and extends westward through the curve along West Sixth Street near Washington Street.

Crews expect to reopen the street by noon. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
