Boles, Loberg advance in primary election

Joe Boles and Bob Loberg are the apparent winners in Tuesday's primary election for Pierce County judge, making Pierce County District Attorney John O'Boyle the odd man out.

Joe Boles and Bob Loberg are the apparent winners in Tuesday's primary election for Pierce County judge, making Pierce County District Attorney John O'Boyle the odd man out. The three filed for election to replace Circuit Court Judge Robert Wing, who retired.

According to unofficial figures on the Pierce County Web site, Boles received 1,849 votes; Loberg had 1,491 votes; and O'Boyle received 300 votes.

The Board of Canvassers will review the preliminary results on Thursday. The top vote-getters will advance to the April 6 general election ballot.
